Knives in Vietnam - BladeForums.com
Who made the SOG knives during the Vietnam War period? Certainly not the current SOG which I believe started up in 1986. What about EK knives? I feel sure there was a big difference between guys who were mostly support and the guys that hit the field on operations.
Let's talk civil unrest/war weapons. - BladeForums.com
Cold Steel war hammer would work for me. Lightweight and fast all the while being deadly on both sides of the head. Useful for door breaking and window smashing too if needed Perhaps a short broadsword or wakizashi sized blade might serve well too.
USMC standard issue Ka-Bar question | BladeForums.com
My dad's retirement is coming up soon and I wanted to get him a Vietnam veteran commemorative Ka-Bar like the one he carried over there. Looked at the website and they sell two, one with serrations and one without. Was there a standard for the USMC over there at the time?
KNIVES IN SERVICES OF INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES - BladeForums.com
Lots of weird stuff was developed during WW2, but never used or issued. I thought of one knife reportedly issued by the CIA during the Vietnam war (Hackman-Finland "butterfly" knife), but how would I possibly know if it's true? I'm not just going to believe something because the internet says so.

To the best of my knowledge, Cold Steel was the first company to reproduce the LaGana tomahawk design since the original ATC went under after the Vietnam War. The earliest references I can find for United Cutlery's Vietnam Tomahawk are from around 2009-2010, at least sixteen years after Cold Steel's introduction of its tomahawk.

35th Anniversary SOG-CISO - BladeForums.com
I was gifted these about 15 years ago by a former Marine sniper and Vietnam vet. He was always quiet about what he did during the war but over time I learned he was usually involved with the units we dont hear much about and spent time working with Hathcock.
The History of Camillus! - BladeForums.com
During the Vietnam War, Camillus manufactured the U.S.M.C. 7" Fighting Knife, #MIL-K-818 four blade utility knife and the 5" Pilot Survival Knife. The original American Wildlife® Series of 4 knives was first offered in 1975 and eventually grew to include a total of 18 different models.
BUCK knives and the Scream franchise - BladeForums.com
I don't generally like seeing cutting tools like this portrayed as weapons as Hollywood is responsible for stereotypes that caused a number of bs laws and regulations across the country, but in this movie franchise I think they made an excellent choice.
